[Greg Simms, Ed Charbonneau, Debora Porter]

The Valparaiso Chamber hosted an election forum at the Chamber office last night featuring candidates for Indiana State Representative Fourth District and Indiana State Senator Fifth District. They touched on a variety of topics, including jobs, education and the environment. Republican incumbent 5th District State Senator Ed Charbonneau, his Democratic challenger, Debora Porter, and candidate for 4th District State Representative, Democrat Greg Simms took part.  Simms is running against Republican incumbent State Representative Ed Soliday, who was unable to attend due to a prior out-of-state speaking commitment.

The Valpo Chamber will present a County Candidates Forum next Tuesday night October 23 starting at 7pm at the Memorial Opera House. The public is invited.
