Officer Found with 48 Pounds of Marijuana

Police in Oklahoma say a Gary Police officer arrested by Oklahoma Highway Patrol this week was a passenger in a rental car allegedly carrying 48-pounds of marijuana, according to the Times today. The 29-year-old officer, employed as a Community Oriented Police Officer for the Gary Police Department, was arrested on allegations of drug-trafficking, the report says, and the vehicle, police say, was pulled over for failing to signal a lane change.
