A Crown Point woman was arrested this morning on 1st degree murder charges. Crown Point Police say 61 year old Jane Leslie Carpenter, aka Jane Leslie, was arrested on an Arizona warrant stemming from an investigation into the murder of her husband in June of 2002. Authorities report Carpenter returned to Indiana from Prescott, Arizona, shortly after the murder allegedly took place. Police say Carpenter was taken to the LaPorte County Jail, and at last check was awaiting extradition back to Arizona.
