Meningitis Hearing in Washington D.C.

On Capitol Hill Wednesday - lawmakers heard from a victim's widow - and state and federal regulators -- in connection with the deadly meningitis outbreak that has sickened about 440 people and killed 32 nationwide. The president of the Massachusetts pharmacy traced to tainted steroid injections answered no questions, pleading the Fifth. Congressman Fred Upton - chairman of the full House committee – says what makes him so angry and this incident such a tragedy, is it seems that these deaths and illnesses could have been prevented. At last check, the Indiana State Department of Health reports 53 confirmed fungal meningitis cases, with 4 deaths.
