Munster Police say a suspect was in custody pending charges after a homicide. Police say they were called to the 800 block of Boxwood early Tuesday reference to a disturbance. Officers tried to make contact with the subject inside, but authorities say he had barricaded himself and would not respond. The Regional SWAT Task Force was activated, deploying a remote controlled robot inside the home and the suspect surrendered. Police say the victim was rushed to the hospital and succumbed to her injuries in the emergency room. Officials say more information is being released today.
