Annie was born and raised in Northwest Indiana with her younger sister and parents in Hammond. After spending some time out of the area chasing the radio dream she has moved back to start a family with her two main men: Jager the mutt and fiance Rob. When she is not on the air Annie enjoys cheering her favorite Chicago sports teams (Da Bears, Da Bulls, And Da Sox), hiking, and exploring new fairs and festivals! (Anything Deep Fried she's in!) Annie cannot wait to share her life with you on air and is excited to be back in the Region doing what she loves!

How was your weekend? Got a chance to go to the Michigan City Zoo for the first time in years yesterday! Gotta say the improvements they are making look wonderful, but I was slightly disappointed by one feature: the Monkey House! All I was looking forward to was the crazy monkey exhibit and it's now closed! The monkey area was always my favorite growing up, and now it's a rundown mess in desperate need of repairs and a paint job! (I can see why they said after 80 years it's no longer safe for the monkeys!)
Also, while you're there be sure to take the extra steps to check out the tower! For some reason I cannot ever remember climbing to the top growing up. However, I did quickly realize the fiance and I are outta shape! Once we got to the top we were in desperate need of a breather! (Does this ever happen to you?) There was a little girl up there with her dad pretending to be a princess trapped in a castle... it was the cutest thing ever!
In any case, it still turned out to be a beautiful day, if you have kids and want an affordable quick trip to the zoo check it out. Now let's get ready to rock another week!
