Annie was born and raised in Northwest Indiana with her younger sister and parents in Hammond. After spending some time out of the area chasing the radio dream she has moved back to start a family with her two main men: Jager the mutt and fiance Rob. When she is not on the air Annie enjoys cheering her favorite Chicago sports teams (Da Bears, Da Bulls, And Da Sox), hiking, and exploring new fairs and festivals! (Anything Deep Fried she's in!) Annie cannot wait to share her life with you on air and is excited to be back in the Region doing what she loves!

I originally hail from Louisiana, but have lived in Indiana since 1983. So at this point I think it is safe to say I'm a Hoosier. However I will always be a New Orleans Saints Fan, no matter what kind of trouble they may get into. My man cave is called the Voodoo Lounge Deux. The Original Voodoo Lounge was taken out by what was left of Hurricane Ike a few years back. The center piece of the Voodoo Lounge Deux is my hot sauce collection. Some people collect coffee mugs on vacation, I collect Hot Sauce. The Sauce of choice right now is brewed in Northwest Indiana by the Scoffeld Brothers. Be very careful with the Heavy Metal Sauce. However my favorite is a sauce from Barbados called Delish Bajan Sauce. Very hard to find. If you are going to Barbados and can hook a brother up......

My wife Colleen and I were married in 2000. Her grandmother used to own Ma Cole's dinner for all you old timers. And yes we met on the the radio. She was my first winner with Movie trivia 15 years ago. We have helped to for a new Theatre Company that raises money for charity. The Valparaiso Theatrical Company give 60% of every ticket sold back to a 501C3 charity. We have two sons and 4 grand children.

Scotty Smith is the afternoon personality on 107.1 The Z. You can hear him every weekday from 3 until 7. Since graduating from Northern Illinois University, Scotty has been on the radio in some of America's largest cities. Listen on your ride home for great conversation about the things happening where you live. It is all about real life and real fun on the radio. Scotty enjoys Chicago sports and everything music.

Jay will keep you up-to-date by reporting news in THE REGION every weekday from 1PM-7PM. On Saturdays he keeps your day moving by playing all your favorite songs on 107.1 The Z! He's worked at different stations across the country and looks forward to interacting with the country’s (if not world's) best listeners! He loves getting involved in the community and will keep you informed on all the worthwhile activities going on. And we'll keep checking in with Laura Waluszko and Northwest Indiana’s Newsroom. Born in Northwest Indiana, Laura's a graduate of River Forest High School (home of the Ingots) and got her bachelor's degree from Purdue and a master's from Indiana University [we think she roots for both even when they play each other].

Her work has won several awards from the Indiana Broadcasters Association, Society of Professional Journalists/Indiana Chapter, and Network Indiana. She has also had academic papers selected for presentation at national conferences like the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication and Broadcast Education Association.

Laura watched her share of game shows growing up and one summer while in California, she's chosen to be a contestant on "Sale of the Century". Her TV favorites include The Honeymooners, Project Runway, Seinfeld, The Big Bang Theory, Doctor Who and Star Trek (TNG and the original). She also enjoys crossword puzzles and when asked what some of her favorite places to visit are she says -- office supply stores.

cat brown Brent Brown brings you the news from 5AM-1PM every weekday!

Brent was born and raised in Michigan, just outside the Port Huron area.
After earning an Associate's Degree from St. Clair County Community College and a broadcasting degree from Specs Howard School of Media Arts, he has spent the last 6 years working at radio stations in Michigan, Illinois, and now Indiana.

When he's not focusing his efforts on bringing you the region's news, Brent enjoys rooting for all of his favorite Detroit sports teams, as well as watching movies and slapping his bass guitar.
